| Ok the topic today is about music. we all have different tastes and its never gonna be easy to please EVERYONE. but urban music drives me potty/nuts/insane. Will show you an example of what i mean here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PQZhN65vq9Ein my opinion this song has emotion and credability, but add a singer who sounds like a couple of dogs barking their heads off and you get this... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LXdxVM2cvdEnow i am not saying never cover a song because this song is a cover on its own but i am sick and tiered of rappers/urban/"RnB" idiots ruining songs. i have plenty of other examples if you want it but im sure if you think you can also relate this to another song. the only example of a great rap in a good song i can think of was the famous Linken Park and Jay Zs version of Numb/Encore | |

| I have to say, I've seen much worse. Let us not forget that metal/rock bands are equally guilty of truly terrible cover songs. Just ask ten masked men about how do do awful covers. Or look at Cradle of Filths cover of Temptation (the female singers awesome singing aside, the song itself is god awful).
Some songs should never be covered, and should certainly never cross genres.
As for the one PT posted, that is not a cover, it just samples the same chorus line. Many songs get sampled as dance tracks for nightclubs.

| I just thought of a good example of a song, where another song is sampled brilliantly.
Beautiful by Eminem, samples 'Reaching out' brilliantly.
